Although our tech devices are progressively going mobile, keyboards are getting smaller, and voice-recognition is becoming amazingly better - touch typing is still relevant.
Here at Cherry Valley-Springfield, we've decided that touch typing is a relevant-enough skill to incorporate it into the Middle School curriculum. We see it as a positive skill that will be beneficial for students in their future education, job search and any computer-related activities.
Schools labor over creating efficient and effective hand-writers. We ensure that students know how to properly write and hold a pencil - and the same should be said for computers.
